We believe responsible breeding means putting temperament, health, and breed integrity first, even when it requires patience or difficult decisions. Our program is intentionally small, allowing us to maintain high standards and provide each dog with the care and attention they deserve.

We view placement as the beginning of lifelong breeder support for those who need it, and we are always happy to offer guidance or answer questions as your dog grows and develops. Families are welcome to stay in touch in whatever way feels right for them, and we genuinely value hearing updates over time.

As a small, family run kennel and proud member of Dogs Queensland, Tubbercurrie Terriers focuses on producing the very traits that made us fall in love with the Jack Russell Terrier—outgoing, cheeky, and loyal dogs that are true to type and uphold the quality of the breed.

We place careful consideration on temperament and soundness, ensuring our dogs and puppies are well suited to life as valued family companions. All puppies are Dogs Australia (ANKC) registered, providing confidence in their pedigree and breeding.

Tubbercurrie Little Feather

We purchased Mabel (Little Feather) from Tubbercurrie Terriers in December 2024. Mabel is very friendly, loves people, children and other animals, this due to the start she had with the Tubbercurrie Terrier family. Tubbercurrie Terriers were the first (and subsequently only!) breeders we contacted whilst we were looking for a Jack Russell puppy. Once I started communicating with Prue, I knew we had hit the jackpot. She was extremely easy to communicate with and responsive to my enquiries regarding their breeding program. We subsequently went on to purchase Tubbercurrie Bentley (Gidgee) in February 2025. At 8 weeks old Gidgee was already well adjusted – comfortable with young children and was very quick to be toilet trained and respond to basic commands. It has been great to keep in contact with Tubbercurrie Terriers over the last year – they have a genuine interest in how their pups are going in their new homes and what they’ve been up to.

Gidgee is an extremely loved member of our family, and we can’t imagine life now without him. He is beautifully natured, and very loyal to his most loved humans. With equal parts cheek and mischief, he is a true JRT with plenty of energy and curiosity yet will happily snuggle up for cuddles on the lounge (for a few minutes anyway!).
